$£%&!

My favourite uni course has been cancelled. They've just stopped running it. That's it. The end. Fin.
What on earth do I do now?!
Sad face.

On a brighter note, I'm very close to finishing the Chopper essay!
(To tell the truth, when I wrote about it a while ago, I had only written the title.)
But now, it's due on Monday so I thought I better make a start...
I've been working for about three hours and I only have about 500 words to go. I was tempted to stop and do the rest on Monday as it's not due in until 5 o'clock, but I'm on a roll and if I stop now I'll never finish it.

I've been listening to Nirvana whilst doing my essay too. Maybe that's helping? I would say it makes me feel rock n roll but I've been drinking peppermint infused green tea so I think it kinda ruins it. Not very Kurt Cobain.

Anyway, whilst doing research into Choppers, I have found some awful horrific shit , errrrm, interesting websites.
Comic sans is the main font used on most. That's never good. Lots of moving backgrounds and Homer Simpson animations were used on another.
Look at this bad boy...

That spotty background? Yeah, it moves. Wow.

I don't pretend to know much about web design but come on! Sort it out, Chopper fans.

this. took. so. long.

click on image and zoom to see detail

i did this in my first year of fashion. not bad for one of my first photoshop lessons, even if i do say so myself.
(to be fair, i did re-do some of it this afternoon but shh)

it's strange how many times i had to ask if the words were spelt right because they looked wrong...

le cirque est en ville

big top dress
made from recycled sheets & ribbon
(and a hula hoop)
model: poppy martin

just dug out some old stuff for my portfolio.
not sure whether to include this or not as it was for a design brief in my first year of fashion but so much effort went into that bad boy i feel i have to put it in!

the only essay i will do all year (probably) is destroying my soul

currently writing a 2000 word essay.
relatively easy, yeah?

no.
not when it's about a raleigh chopper.

yeah, i know they're cool and iconic and stuff, but you can say pretty much everything you need to say in about 200 words. then you've got to think of 1800 words of pure bullshit to fill it out.
there's only so many times i can put the word 'and' instead of a comma before i start to sound like and idiot that doesn't know what a comma is.

just a cheeky little tattoo design

yeah, it's stuck to my wall so i don't lose it...

i think this will be tattoo number two. i've wanted this for longer but it will hurt & cost more so i'm going to save this bad boy for when i'm more prepared for pain & money.

some guys from southend ink, on southend seafront, came into college today to talk about tattooing as a career.
did a tattoo on stage. as you do.
much more interesting than the slideshow i was expecting!

another productive day.

so as i said earlier, i didn't go to college today. as i was still ill, i thought i'd stay at home and do the coursework that i haven't had time to do all holiday. i thought i'd get up nice and early, get dressed and spend the whole day doing work. brilliant plan.

or not.

i eventually got up at 11. made a coffee. sat down. watched this morning.

had lunch.
watched the o.c.
had some chocolate orange.
made another coffee, this time being adventurous and using the syrup i got from costa yesterday.
finally decided it was time to do coursework at about 3 o'clock.

tried to print something.
printer wasn't working.

waited until 6 o'clock for my dad to get home to fix it.

it still isn't fixed.

the best is yet to come

i apologise for the lack of posts recently, christmas is just so busy! i'm supposed to be back at college today but i'm still dying from that lovely flu-ey thing that everyone's had. it's quite handy really; i've been working almost everyday, and the only days i've had off have been christmas day, the 29th, when i saw family, and new years day... and no-one wants to do coursework on new years day, do they? so that leaves today, and as my coursework needs to be handed in tomorrow (well, today really...) i thought i better do some.
i have however just realised that much of the stuff i need is saved on the macs at college. not at home.
bugger. looks like i'll be dragging myself in tomorrow...

i'm booking my tattoo when i get paid! woooooooo

i'm getting the kids in glass houses lyrics above (but in a nicer font, i'm sure the tattoo artists can do a better job than microsoft word.)
very very excited!
