oh balls
Just found this from the first week of foundation.
My ball is still in my garden, covered in snow/bugs. Nice.

cheeky little b*stard.
Some kid just knocked on my door asking if I would give him a fiver to clear the snow from my path. I was tempted until I realised he just meant the bit outside the front door, and wouldn't actually be walking around with me everywhere I go, clearing snow so I don't fall over. That would be the best money I could ever spend. I'm not very good with snow. Yeah, it looks pretty. Yeah, making snow men/igloos/giant snow penis' is fun. Yeah, snowball fights are hilarious. What is not fun, is falling over. This is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of snow. Many pairs of leggings, tights and even jeans were ruined by me falling over on the snow last year. I was bruised for about three months. I do not want to repeat that this year! Wellies are being busted out already, complete with mud left over from Reading.
The project we're doing at the moment is public art. That means we have to do art in the street. Yeah that's right, in this weather! I think my final piece will have to be a photo of me dying from hypothermia...
Apparently there's a stamp club down the road I've been given for my project. (I didn't even know those existed. Do people just turn up and say "oooh look at this lovely stamp I got!" Wow.)
Would it be illegal to cover someones house in stamps? Actually, that's a hell of a lot of stamps. I'm not made of money. Maybe just the front door. Hopefully that's less illegal. Hmmmmm...

you know you're poor when you have to make your own sketchbooks rather than buying them.
i think they look pretty damn good though!
also, you can tell deadlines are coming up when my room looks like this...
crap everywhere. i'll tidy it on tuesday... maybe.
deadline: 1200 monday,
time now: 0019 saturday.
work all day tomorrow (today really, as it's now saturday) & sunday.
still got another sketchbook to make & fill up.
then i'll have seven sketchbooks to annotate.
i do believe i'm screwed.
anyway, bed time.
coursework can wait til tomorrow.

deadline stress and coursework procrastination.
deadlines are approaching and sketchbooks are empty. ooooh dear.
am i doing coursework? no, i'm doing a blog. nice one.
to be fair, i have been at college (on my day off!) since 1 o'clock and it's now 4. (although to be even more fair, if i'd done the work on time i wouldn't have to be here on my day off!)
artist research is boring me but i found this and thought it was cool.

some things from my portfolioliolioooo
i've just started to completely re-do my portfolio as i don't like the stuff i did from last year. fashion is coming out, vis. comm. is going in!
fashion trasparency; dress made out of sellotape and turned upside down |
'a day in the life of a pencil'; prints made by dipping a pencil in ink and dropping it onto the paper |
sequences; every circle i could find in the print room (cut down to fit more conveniently onto the page...) |
fine art, sculture; dice made out of wood with words telling me what to do to my object. phone was eventually destroyed and this was the outcome. |
more portfolio stuff will be posted soon (when i actually do it...)
also, sorry for the overload in posts but i've only just started this so there's loads i want to put on here!
:)
the book, foundation exhibition
this is my bit of work in the exhibition
didn't look as amazing as some of the others but i'm still pleased with it!
heard a few people talking about how long it took me to cut all the swear words out and they said it looked 'sick'. pretty good reviews i guess ;D
:)
the book project
i cut all the swear words out of trainspotting. for anyone that has read it/seen the film, you will know that there are a lot of swear words! it took me about three days. my mum didn't approve because "it's all rude words!"
the book, foundation exhibition
poster advertising the book exhibition at college, designed by me.
(exhibition was good times. photos of my work will be posted later.)
